Can I Record the Birth of my Child?
Some hospitals have a blanket policy against videotaping medical procedures, and this may include childbirth. Others do not, but individual doctors or midwives may not allow it for various reasons. This is a good question to ask at a prenatal visit, as well as when you arrive at Labor and Delivery. If you get the green light, just be sure to know how to work your camera and make sure it is fully charged — and be sure to stay out of the line of sight of bodily fluids, so it doesn’t get ruined!
